National Specialized Software Development Company Problem: Our client's marketing and sales effort was not as strong as management thought possible. Solution: DeltaPro conducted an in-person and telephone conference marketing and sales development project and worked with the sales team to develop a marketing plan. Results: Our intervention led to dynamically improved sales the following quarter. We also identified ways to further improve the sales team. Multistate Printing Division Problem: The division's managers, divided between two facilities through acquisition, had never all met or worked together as a team. Solution: DeltaPro organized and facilitated several combined offsite strategic business planning retreats and followed up with a work flow improvement project in each facility, with the goal of doing the same work the same way in both facilities. Results: This project led to increased teamwork, the development of both individual and consolidated Work Process Flow Charts™ for the operation, a more effective organization, and higher gross operating profit. Multistate Truck Trailer Leasing Company Problem: Operations management was divided among three facilities but wanted to develop standard operating methods. Solution: DeltaPro facilitated several joint in-person and a number of telephone conference work flow improvement project meetings. We also facilitated an offsite strategic planning session. Results: Our work led to the development of standardized operations procedures, improved teamwork, identification of personnel improvement needs and the development of a consistent strategic plan. Results: Our client/owner reduced work hours to a reasonable number, company sales increased, and the owners and management team defined plans for future development. Vocational Rehabilitation Services Company Problem: The company had a less-than-effective midlevel management team that had not clearly defined consistent work flow among its various offices. Solution: DeltaPro facilitated a work flow improvement project with the top management team and managers of each of the company's originally defined geographic areas. We worked with our client to organize the company into two more-clearly defined management regions, initiate its first professional growth plan and management training program, and improve its performance measurement system. We also assisted our client in developing a pay-for-performance compensation model. Results: Our involvement led to improved teamwork, enhanced communication and improved organization structure. Our client defined and implemented a new lead-level position and made its compensation program fairer. Machine Shop Problem: Management needed to qualify for the newest revision of Boeing's D1-9000 (customized ISO-9000) quality program. Solution: DeltaPro facilitated a work flow improvement project. Results: Our client improved overall operation and quickly received Boeing's approval. Bindery Company Problem: The company's marketing and sales effort was ineffective due to owner's heavy involvement in operations and lack of marketing knowledge. Solution: DeltaPro conducted a marketing and sales education program and provided general management consulting. Results: Our involvement led to improved sales revenue. National Transcription Service Problem: Our client's marketing and sales effort had lost momentum due to a change in management. Solution: DeltaPro conducted a marketing and sales education program and provided the top management team with the knowledge to develop a marketing plan and hire and manage a specialized marketing person. Results: We increased our client's marketing knowledge and worked with them to develop their first formal marketing planning.
