Sessions

To meet the above goals, your organization needs a reliable roadmap for working through the various business planning processes. The Strategic Business Planning Program is divided into seven sessions. Each session will take a different amount of time, ranging from as little as one hour for the shortest to possibly eight hours for the longest. The average session should be approximately 3 hours. Since each organization is different, and starts with a different knowledge base, the program may take more or less time. However, the more time you put into the program, the higher the probability of success.

How to develop a Strategic Plan, including the seven components of a Strategic Plan—Current Business Picture, Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Values, Gap Analysis, Strategic Goals, and Action Plan

	How to develop a Business Plan
	How to develop a Succession Plan

Facilitation

There are times when it can be more effective to have an onsite facilitator—to make the planning process more efficient and effective. A neutral or impartial facilitator, having no stake in the outcome, can help create the kind of environment in which it’s easier for the planning team to achieve its goals. In addition, a facilitator may often contribute to the strategic planning process by bringing in some special knowledge or expertise. Another value in having a facilitator is that it allows the organization head to delegate his/her administrative role and participate more fully in the process.
